A few kilometers away from Koroni of Messinia and around the village of Mystraki, our olive groves are spread, on hills with 250m. – 300m. altitude, a place which meets the Ionian Sea from the left and the Messinian Gulf from the right.
The landscape as well as the cool breeze from the Ionian Sea that passes over these hills and ends up in the interior of Messinia. creates a unique microclimate in the area which gives this characteristic taste, smell and aroma to our olive oli that anyone will notice every time tries RAMUS.
Our olive trees with koroneiki variety are located exactly where they should live in order to always give us their most precious fruit in its best version.
Ramus: is a latin word that etymologically means branch.
For us, it symbolizes longevity, as it is an old local custom that takes place during the olive harvest. According to this, when the process of harvesting the olive fruit is completed, the oldest man of the team cuts a large branch from the last tree of the olive grove. Then he gives the olive branch to a child of his family in order to pass from every house of the village and to signal the end of the harvest. This custom takes place every year throughout the years, symbolizing the olive grove’s rebirth and thus, LONGEVITY.
Being the third generation of olive growers and raised under the shade of the most sacred tree, the olive tree, we continue this timeless and tireless effort of previous generations combined with modern know-how to bring the elixir of longevity into your hands: the precious RAMUS!
